You Guys might have heard of Devops. Today we will be discussing What is Devops ? Explained in an Easy, Quick and Simple Way and we'll see if it is the right choice for you or not. Now if you search on Internet about what is devops then you will get thousands of results but i'm pretty sure that none of them gave you the exact definition of devops.

Devops - Definition

Devops is not a tool or a programming language. It is the process of taking your product (website or an app) from its construction till the production state. DevOps is a method which helps the development team as well as the operational teams to do things in sync without panicking. 

The Development team is responsible for writing code for application. The Operational team is responsible for managing the server operations, security operation, backups.

DevOps is a philosophy in which the  Development as well as the Operational team sits together and work in sync. Hence in this way the operational team can keep a check on development team and vica-versa. DevOps also focuses on the things to be automated so that the user does not have to do much and they can even while working with the application. 

DevOps includes many tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Github, Vagrant and a lot more. So DevOps is not about learning a particular tool because it is moreover a mindset. So, if you want yourself to be called DevOps Engineer then learning any of the tools won't help you much because it is more about understanding what is happening in every phase of Software Development Cycle.

Now there are position for a DevOps manager in various companies. A DevOps manager is the person who has previous experience of merging the Development and Operational team and knows how to sync the 2 teams.
